In PSL 6  Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by three wickets after an exciting match in the eighth match of the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League 2021.

This is Quetta’s third consecutive defeat in the event.

Quetta batted first and scored 198 runs. Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed (81), Azam
Khan (47), and Faf du Plessis (37) stood out.

In reply, Peshawar Zalmai’s team achieved the target at a loss of 7 wickets.
Peshawar Zalmi’s innings did not start well in pursuit of the target. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal scored just three runs and gave the wicket to Usman Shinwari. At that time, the team’s total score was 13 runs.
After the dismissal of Kamran Akmal, Tom Kohler-Cadmore came to bat, but he fell victim to Dale Steyn by scoring only four runs.

After two wickets fell early, openers Imam-ul-Haq and Haider Ali supported the batting line and added 52 runs for the third wicket to take the total to 79. On this occasion, Imam-ul-Haq played an innings of 41 runs off 30 balls and left with Haider Ali and will be out.

Peshawar Zalmai suffered its fourth loss in the form of Haider Ali’s wicket. He scored 50 off 29 balls with the help of 2 sixes and five fours and was caught by du Plessis off Steyn.

When Peshawar Zalmi’s score reached 145, senior batsman Shoaib Malik returned to the pavilion after playing 34 runs.

At one point, it looked as if the match slipped out of Peshawar Zalmi’s hands, but in Dale Steyn’s fourth and innings of the 19th summer over, Wahab Riaz batted smokily and hit two sixes to secure the team’s victory.

Wahab Riaz scored 20 runs with the help of two sixes and a four. Wahab Riaz that 20 runs played a vital role in the team’s victory.
